Colon Hydrotherapy (a.k.a. colonics, colon therapy, colon cleansing and colonic irrigation) is a safe, effective method of removing waste from the large intestine, without the use of drugs. Colon therapy is also known as colon hydrotherapy and colon irrigation. The medical term is high enema. It is a safe gentle infusion of filtered, temperature controlled water into the large intestine (colon). By introducing filtered and temperature regulated water into the colon, the waste is softened and loosened, resulting in evacuation through natural peristalsis. The inflow of water and the release of waste is repeated several times during a session.  Our Colon Hydrotherapy is a Closed System.

Colon hydrotherapy is a practice that offers the service of a trained therapist to carry out the procedure of colonic irrigation using approved (FDA registered) instruments. Colon irrigation is a procedure undertaken for the purpose of evacuating bowel.

Many people have preconceived ideas about Colon Hydrotherapy (also known as colonic irrigation.)
My aim at Tulsa Colonics is to explain how the treatment is performed.

Colon Hydrotherapy in Tulsa is not a new treatment. In fact, it was used in hospitals until recent times when it was replaced by strong purgatives which are used for emptying the bowel before procedures or treating fecal impaction.

At your first appointment I will explain the procedure and treatment process to you. Do not hesitate to ask any questions and what you , hope to accomplish through your colon hydrotherapy.

The Purpose of  Colon Hydrotherapy at Tulsa Colonics
The purpose of getting a colonic in Tulsa  is to remove all waste and gas from the large bowel. This is encouraged by gently irrigating the colon with temperature-controlled purified water. The cleansing process takes approximately one hour for each session. The process is gentle and usually pain free. However, mild cramping may occur during the session due to large pockets of gas and impaction of waste moving through the colon. This discomfort is only temporary and usually occurs with clients who are suffering with chronic constipation, bowel impaction, and excessive gas.

Constipation is a very common problem caused by 8 or more contributing factors.

  • Poor, unhealthy diet
  • Not drinking enough water
  • Lack of fiber in diet
  • Not going to the restroom every time you feel the urge to, thus training your colon to be constipated
  • Prescription medicines
  • Lack of exercise
  • Parasite Infestation
And sometimes people are just born with lazy bowels. If the issue of constipation is not addressed and taken seriously then many other health issues can arise, such as diverticulitis and colon cancer. Always be proactive by eating right, drinking plenty of water, abstaining from things that do not promote good health, such as smoking, drinking alcohol and drugs, etc.

During your colon hydrotherapy treatment, I will use several fills and releases of water and during the therapy water temperature and pressure will be monitored by Michelle Williams, the colon therapist. Each colon hydrotherapy session lasts approximately 45 minutes and one should allow at least one hour per office visit. Initially, a series of at least three separate therapy sessions may be recommended, to achieve the maximum cleansing benefit. This helps to eliminate fecal matter which may have been lodged in the colon for weeks, months, or even years, and to keep you the client properly hydrated.
Colonic Irrigation, also known as Colon Hydrotherapy or high colonic, is an internal bath that helps colon health. By cleansing the colon of toxins & poisons, gas, encrusted fecal matter and mucus deposits problems such as chronic constipation, chronic diarrhea, and irritable bowel syndrome symptoms (ibs symptoms) can be helped relieving constipation. Using sterilized and disposable equipment, oxygenated and filtered warm water is gently introduced into the rectum. The water progressively softens and expels fecal matter and compacted deposits. The colonic hydrotherapy treatment in Tulsa lasts about 45 minutes using state of the art equipment with a closed system. The pressure and temperature are constantly controlled while the colonic therapist massages the abdominal area for further comfort and therapeutic results.

According to Dr. Berard Jensen, the colon is a sewage system, with neglect and abuse it becomes a cesspool. When it's a cleaned and normal we are well and happy. Let is stagnate and it will distill the poisons of decay, fermentation and putrefaction into the blood, poisoning all the organs so that we become depressed, irritable, weak, listless, our breath becomes foul, we're bloated and our skin is unhealthy. We prematurely, look and feel old, our joints are painful and stiff and the pleasure of life is gone. The colonic forms a vacuum for the liver and kidneys to dump toxins as well as the intestinal track. The therapeutic effects are endless.
